This policy is mainly intended for authors, but may also give readers a good idea of our concept. This site is one of many that helps authors get reviews... which in turn helps readers choose the right book.
If you are an author wanting to submit your book for a review, we normally require you to review a book of our choice, as a gesture of good faith, before we'll get someone to review your book.
The only exception to this might be where one of us reviews the occasional book with really high sales, in the hope that this makes us more attractive to search engines (also note that some of these reviews were written on Goodreads before this blog was set up and simply copied over). As well as this blog, reviews are posted at Goodreads and Amazon. Other places may be agreed upon between the author/publisher and the reviewer (let us know this when submitting work for review).
We'll also consider posting an author interview, if you review three books of our choosing (talk to us about this if you're interested). This might also be a good way of using the 'author interview' option at places like Smashwords (cut and paste our interview to Smashwords - better than interviewing yourself)!
